MEMBERSHIP OF YOUR ASSOCIATION

ALL CATEGORIES OF MEMBERSHIP IN YOUR ASSOCIATION IS FREE!
There are multiple Association membership categories. These categories are used by the Association to determine different operational aspects of the Association (e.g. who is eligible to vote at AGMs).

ORDINARY MEMBER

Those who served or are serving in the 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (6 RAR).
Ordinary Members have full voting rights at AGMs and for other matters that the Committee may from time to time decide needs a membership vote.
Ordinary Members can fill any position on the Committee.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER

Family members and those who served with or as an attachment to 6 RAR. This category includes New Zealand Defence members who served with 6 RAR in Vietnam and Singapore.
Associate Members can fill non-executive positions on the Committee. These members would only have voting rights if holding a committee position and only in relation to day-to-day matters.

Stand To Newsletter

STAND TO is your Association newsletter, unfortunately, due to costs involved in producing a quarterly Newsletter, there is a subscription cost to receive STAND TO (see pricing below).

Articles are from you, the members, is what makes this newsletter so inviting to read – so make sure you send in your service related stories to share with your mates!

“STAND TO” also keeps you updated with all Association, 6 RAR and other veteran related news and events.

To allow simpler administration and the collecting of fees, the “Stand To” subscription term is for a 5 year period, which is reset on the 5 and 0 year, ie 2025, 2030, 2035. To subscribe to receive “STAND TO” from June 2025 to June 2030 the prices are below – you will receive 4 copies per year until 5 June 2030.

  • Hardcopy (posted to the address you provide) will be $120 OR
  • Electronic (emailed in PDF format to the email address you provide) will be $100

The above pricing is discounted every year, so new subscribers only pay for the period they sign up for
(i.e. they don’t pay for the year/s they miss). Pricing updates will be advertised on this website, in STAND TO and in the Blue Dog Bulletin when they occur.

For those who do not like the technical method – please print and use our hardcopy form, then fill the data, remember to select your payment method, then either email mail it to the Secretary at wheels6rarassn@gmail.com or post it to us at Allan Whelan, PO Box 225 Red Hill Qld 4059.

“STAND TO” Subscriptions are open to both Full or Associate Members and new subscribers are always welcome.

If you like a paper form to fill in, CLICK the button below to print an application form or e-mail the Secretary to join the Association. Alternatively, continue reading below.

BLUE DOG BULLETIN

The Blue Dog Bulletin (BDB) is a free news bulletin supplied by email to everyone who has registered a valid email address with the Association. The BDB aims to keep members up to date with Association, 6 RAR and other veteran related news.   This Bulletin is free and we encourage those receiving it to forward it to other serving and former 6 RAR soldiers they know.
